Every ex-pat has a unique “how I came to Mexico” story, and I love hearing them all. Mine began over 30 years ago, on Mexico’s southern border with Belize, surrounded by the stunning Caribbean reef. It wasn’t just the mesmerizing waters that captivated me, but the vibrant country and its lifestyle. That experience sparked my passion for property development.
My first taste of real estate came in college when I financed my graduate studies by purchasing tax-delinquent properties. I’d research auctions, buy undervalued properties, and flip them for a profit. It was both exciting and financially rewarding, and it hooked me on real estate development for life.
In 1994, I earned my MBA and moved to Mexico City, where I worked with high-tech internet development and securities firms. However, by 2009, after years of being landlocked in the mountains, I yearned to return to the water. My love for sailing had already brought me to Banderas Bay multiple times, and it was here I felt an undeniable connection—a magnetic pull that drew me to make this beautiful place my home. With my two boys by my side, I settled in the Bay permanently.
During a two-year hiatus, I dived into eco-technics and built Hogares Híbridos, a truly sustainable adobe home in the tropical climate. It was an incredible project that fueled my passion for sustainable living.
From 2015 to 2017, I worked as the sales manager for the Peninsula Residence™ properties in Banderas Bay. Seeking to deepen my expertise, I became a licensed real estate agent in California. This dual knowledge—of both California and Mexican real estate markets—allows me to offer my clients the best tools to realize their dream retirement lifestyles and build wealth through investment properties.
It’s with immense pleasure and excitement that Sunny Vibes agents represent both sellers and buyers, guiding them through the entire process with professionalism, knowledge, and dedication.
