April, 2005: The face of downtown Puerto Vallarta changed dramatically during the early hours of March 10, when the controversial Hidalgo Park project began with the encircling of the area with a cyclone fence.

March, 2005: Interesting things are happening as the current city administration heads into its second year. A combination of setbacks, scandals and kudos keep the mayor on the front pages even as he promises to make at least one promotional trip for Puerto Vallarta each month.

February, 2005: With the holidays came an outpouring of gifts and much-needed attention for areas of economic hardship in the Banderas Bay area. Possibly high emotions resulted from the bombardment of images from the tsunami that hit Southeast Asia, but the real estate community tends to be ever responsive to needs in the community.
