Page 1 of 2 1 2 July, 2007: Summer always seems a time to focus on the developments, to review how they’re doing, to see what is new on the coast, to reflect on changes and consider the evolution of the market. In reality, it’s a good time to do that all year long, but it’s during the summer that we publish the Development Guide in Lifestyles, something that has become quite a tradition in the real estate industry. By Josef Kandoll W.
June, 2007: The dust has settled and everyone seems to agree that the Amapas incident at Villas de la Colina II provided the necessary wake-up call for the construction projects on the hillsides. No one was hurt. In fact, during the night (sleepless for some) the noise of the shifting could already be heard so the engineer and work crew were as prepared as might be expected under the circumstances. By Josef Kandoll W.
May, 2007: Flying low over the coast in an open plane gives a more physical feel as well as a particular view of the bay and the land below. Somehow, even though you’re flying above, you’re much more a part of it when in that large commercial jetliner. Not only does the wind catch at you but the breezes vary, sometimes warm, sometimes cooler. By Josef Kandoll W.
April, 2007: Bucerías puts on a new face as evidenced by the recent open house at La Vida, certainly of the best real estate events so far this season. I remember Bucerías when it was still dusty, a quick gully-stop by bus en route to Guadalajara back in the days that I had time to go there every month. By Josef Kandoll W.
March, 2007: This month I want to dedicate some space to the recent Real Estate Conference, one of the fastest-growing events related to the industry in the Bay Area. Numerous speakers and experts in their fields touched on not only interesting points but revealed facts important to any broker or realtor. By Josef Kandoll W.
February 2007: Not only is the real estate industry turned on to full heat, the entire service support system is finding its footing, the second step of the growing industry in the burgeoning volume of rentals that follows. By Josef Kandoll W.
January 2007: Even just to recount open houses from this past month, space would be cramped. By Josef Kandoll W.
December 2006: The season is off to a strong start with daily and nightly cultural activities, festivals, art exhibitions, restaurant inaugurations and more. By Josef Kandoll
November, 2006: Word is out that the season is well on its way to being the best ever. So if you didn’t get a breather, forgot to take a vacation, haven’t taken a break, sorry about that, it’s too late now. By Josef Kandoll
Ocober, 2006: It seems only moments ago that we had a breather after the busy high season. It allowed prepping for the upcoming months, when we can expect one of the busiest periods ever. The market continues to become more sophisticated, as do the developments and homes on the market. By Josef Kandoll
September, 06: The summer heat sends even residents running for air-conditioned interiors when somewhat scarcer rains don’t cool things off. By Josef Kandoll
August, 2006: Focus is crucial to completing any project, whether speaking of real estate or not. In photography, it clarifies and defines what the eye is automatically drawn to by throwing perhaps the background or foreground out of focus while still providing additional color, form or subject matter. By Josef Kandoll
July, 2006: Lately I’ve noticed that, while a kitchen with a view was previously considered a step beyond the obvious, the current trend is to provide a fantastic view from the bathroom. By Josef Kandoll
June, 2006: As developments become ever more complex and house plans increasingly complicated, the onus to obtain required permits and licenses falls more strongly on the property owner. By Josef Kandoll
May, 2006: The coverage in this month’s issue is highlighted by the extremely successful Real Estate Conference sponsored by Producciones Viva, publisher of this magazine. By Josef Kandoll
