The number seems to hold its own magic, as developer Benjamín Beja of Mexico Alive attests. “If you measure the distance from the center of a circle and multiply by 3.14 (more commonly known as pi), you get the circumference. So the number has its own power, its magic.” Along the same lines, Beja promises that 3.14 “offers a fresh concept for Vallarta, even for Mexico. It is real estate with all needs addressed to provide a stronger resonance in life.” Located in Nuevo Vallarta just inside the northern security entrance, the compound is more than 9,000 square meters just three blocks from the beach.
While the complex, consisting of 84 residences, is geared toward singles, couples without children, retirees and other transplanted professionals, there are no actual restrictions based on age or family status. Five points were considered in coming up with the unique concept. First, most important, is the residence itself. “The living space is distinct in that it’s a smaller unit, from 700 to 1500 square feet. It’s cool, modern, a loft feel, with high ceilings, the lowest being around ten feet while some reach as high as 20 feet. It’s glamorous living at an affordable price.”
Second on the list is a focus on leisure time. “Today’s young professionals want to meet people, have fun, stay in touch with friends.” The social aspect is considered in the inclusion of restaurants, one being the popular La Dolce Vita with others under deliberation being a Japanese sushi bar, a steak house and a health-conscious dining option. Others include an ice cream parlor, a coffee house and a lounge where you can challenge friends, new or old, to dominoes or backgammon. Music isn’t so loud that you can’t converse or the bar so dark that you can’t see.
Follow those considerations with the current focus on health and immediately the gym and spa come to mind. With only 84 residences, consider that the gym is about 8,000 square feet with full facilities, a lap pool, everything to keep you active right at hand. Since most professionals need to take their productivity into account, the inclusion of an office tower was important with “one of the first truly designed office complexes in the area.” It will consist of a business center, secretarial support, a communications center with wireless Internet, high-speed connections, cable and satellite TV. And finally, daily needs are met by services such as laundry, dry cleaning, a housekeeping service and more. “Many would rather pay for those services than do the chores themselves.” Spend the time doing what you want to do instead of what you have to do.

Pre-construction prices begin at around $100,000 USD with a third down to hold the space, remainder due with key in hand.
